Placed on the low slope of Mount Ingino, Gubbio is one of Umbria’s oldest cities, amazingly maintained during the centuries and rich of monuments proving its glorious past. Evidence of its antique origin are the Tavole Eugubine, one of the most important Italian documents, and the Teatro Romano right outside the city walls.

Dominated by the monumental Basilica di Sant’Ubaldo guarding the patron saint’s incorrupt remains, Gubbio hosts architectural masterpieces representing and recalling this city’s power.
